Creative Photography Shooting  Session

Portraits where you are the story, not the subject.

Most portrait sessions are built to make you look good. This one is built to make the image say something a normal photograph can’t reach.

We work from your ideas: what interests you, what you’re obsessed with, what you want people to see — and build them inside a visual language of my own. This isn’t a session where you pick a backdrop from a catalog. It’s a session where we build a concept with you and then photograph it.

What you get isn’t a nice portrait. It’s a piece.

How it works

1. Define the concept

We talk first. Before a camera comes out, we talk. What you like, what you’ve hated about photographs taken of you, what the image should communicate. The concept comes out of that.

2. Visual proposal

I send you a moodboard with the direction: light, palette, atmosphere, references. We adjust until we’re both seeing the same thing.

4. Author's edit

I select, develop and retouch every image by hand. On conceptual sessions this includes compositing and montage where the concept calls for it.

3. The Shooting.

Studio or location, depending on what the concept asks for. I direct throughout — you don’t need to know how to pose, that’s my job.

5. Delivery

High-resolution digital files and, depending on the package, a signed fine art print.

6. We work again :-)

You will be so happy with the results, that we will eventually develop a long term shooting relationship.

Why work with me

My work has been recognized internationally and published in specialist media: World Photographic Cup Global Top 10, Master Class Photographers Awards 2025, and international exhibitions in New York (2025, 2019, 2018), Moscow (2015), Oslo (2019) and Argentina (2004).

I work from conceptual and surrealist portraiture, not conventional studio portraiture. If what you need is a clean corporate headshot, there are studios in Mexico City that do it well and cheaper. If you want an image people remember, that’s my ground.

I don’t subcontract. Concept, shoot and edit are mine.
